During fall 2015, PICNet’s Bug Gang will visit long-term care facilities across the Lower Mainland. For the past three years, our educational infection control game has been a huge hit. We are limited in the number of facilities we can visit, so be sure to book early if you’d like us to come!
PICNet can visit your long-term care facility during mid-September to mid-November 2015. We can do a morning or an afternoon session (or two sessions, depending on your staffing schedule). We need a separate room, ideally with a large table that everyone can sit around, and we prefer to see the staff in groups of 8-20 people. Each session lasts about 45 minutes, although it’s best if we have a full hour so that there is time for questions and answers. There will be prizes for everyone!
This year, due to budget restrictions, we will be charging a $200 fee to for-profit facilities.
If you are interested in having PICNet visit your facility, please complete the form below and submit it to us by email (picnet@phsa.ca) or fax (604-875-4373). Upon receipt, we will follow up with a phone call to confirm our visit date and to discuss your infection control week needs.
If you’d like us to visit your facility:
- Submit the application form by September 15, 2015
- Visit dates: any time from mid-September to late November; indicate your preferences on the form
- We can only visit facilities in the Lower Mainland, and only ones that we did not visit last year.
- Preference will be given to facilities that make the workshop mandatory
If we’re unable to visit your facility or you’d like to run the workshop yourself, you can order one of PICNet’s “Let’s Go Viral!” workshop in-a-box kits. The kit includes the exact same game we will be hosting, with instructions and supplies; you just have to provide the prizes.
