Surveillance Protocols

PICNet  >  Surveillance  >  Surveillance Protocols

PICNet works in collaboration with British Columbia health authorities to develop and maintain standardized provincial surveillance protocols for health care associated infections. These protocols support consistent, reliable collection and interpretation of surveillance data across the province. They outline standardized case definitions, eligibility criteria, and data elements, and provide a shared methodological foundation for provincial surveillance, analysis, and reporting. The protocols are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect evolving evidence, practice, and provincial priorities.
