National Infection Prevention and Control Week: October 20-24, 2025
During the week beginning on Monday, October 20, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) professionals and health care teams across the province will celebrate National IPC week
This year’s theme from IPAC Canada, “Bridging Gaps, Building Bridges” reflects our commitment to safety and quality care across sites through effective IPC practices. The theme encourages us to celebrate the hard work of IPC programs and reflect on how we can strengthen collaboration across disciplines, departments, and communities.
From acute to long-term care, and public health to community clinics, we – as health care workers – have a critical role in protecting patients, colleagues, and the broader community by consistently embedding IPC into our everyday practice.
Celebrate and promote National IPC week by exploring and sharing the following resources:
- National Infection Control Week Planning and Communications Toolkit | PICNet (from 2018)
- Activities and Games | PICNet
- Videos | PICNet
- Education | PICNet
- NICW Activities – IPAC-Canada
Let’s recognize the everyday actions that make a big difference in infection prevention and inspire others to prevent the spread of infection while promoting the importance of IPC.
